The last console and PC Ridge Racer was the much-maligned Ridge Racer Unbounded, which aimed to reinvent the franchise and was developed by Bugbear Entertainment before it moved on to Wreckfest. RIDGE RACER Unbounded brings an unexpected dimension to the series, delivering an original blast of ferocious racing adrenaline. Get behind the wheel of a new breed of street racing machine. It’s been five years since the last Ridge Racer game, and that was the mobile app Ridge Racer Draw & Drift, sadly. It's has much more common with Bugbear's own FlatOut series than actual 'Ridge Racer. The fact they outsourced it to Bugbear who basically threw in combat-like Burnout takedowns, and destructive elements to the track environment. It plays like nothing like any of the previous games in the series.
